Typically McDonalds pies are of the sweet variety, such as the classic apple pie or the myriad of dessert-like options that pop up for limited times. If, however, you'd prefer something savory in pie format, this new melty three cheese beef stew pie is on their menu for a short window. It's been a winter limited-time offering each year since 2021, so if you don't get it this season it might still come back next year. I think it's a good release for the winter season since it's got a very hearty feel. The filling has a cheesy sauce comprising of three cheeses, beef chunks, potatoes, and carrots in a gravy-type stew, and I think all of the elements work together well. I feel like the price is fairly reasonable for what you get, too.

For some people I'm sure having a McDonalds pie with a savory filling as opposed to sweet might just feel a bit weird. A bit of mental gymnastics to wrap your head around the fact that it's more of a meal than a dessert! If you do find yourself really liking it, there's also the point that it's a limited time only product. I would be fairly confident in it coming back next year since it has been an annual occurrence since 2021, but just something to keep in mind as there are no guarantees! Overall though, a fun and different take on the usual McDonalds pie offerings. Give it a go if it sounds appealing!
