I think that during the summer, icy frozen treats are preferable to creamy ones, although let's be honest, both are pretty good. If you like the icy kind, Lotte's Sou product has a new flavor -- it's white grape and white sour, and it feels light and refreshing for this hot and humid weather. As soon as you open the packaging you're greeted with a nice swirled appearance to the flavored ice, and I think it's quite pleasant from an aesthetic standpoint. The product contains actual grape juice so it has quite a natural fruity flavor to it, and it satisfies the craving for a dessert without feeling too heavy.

The ice has a bit of a crunchy texture to it, which is one of the trademarks that this product is known for -- not unlike kakigori! If you prefer smoother icy treats, I'd recommend something else! Also, since this is just a limited time product, you only have a short window to get your hands on it before it disappears. If it sounds like a must-try to you, I would recommend heading in to your nearest convenience store (or maybe even supermarket!) to see if it's available near you.
