The description
This product is the new Earl Grey Bouquet & Tea Frappuccino, and it's a limited time offering available from Starbucks stores across Japan. It's priced at 680 yen and comes in tall size only.
The good
If you're a tea lover and you're looking to treat yourself with a cold drink this summer, the new Earl Grey Bouquet & Tea Frappuccino at Starbucks is a nice option to try. It contains a blend of Earl Grey, oolong, jasmine, chamomile, hibiscus, and linden flower combined with milk, which is all topped with whipped cream, a powdered blend of bergamot, lemon peel, and orange (meant to resemble pollen), and a drizzle of honey (meant to resemble bees gathering around flowers). Along with being tasty to drink, it also has a really nice aroma if that's something you look for in your beverages of choice.
The not so good
The usual gripe applies here -- it's an expensive drink. Not something I would purchase more than the initial "trying it out" occasion, and that's based on the price, really. Overall, I'd say this is a nice drink for tea lovers and folks looking for an icy beverage at this time of year (it's already so hot!) but it loses a point from me because it's so expensive. I really feel that Starbucks could sell these for 500 yen and still make a good profit...and probably have more people buying them, too. Alas, that seems highly unlikely ;) Head in to your nearest Starbucks store if it sounds like something you'd want to try out! Happy drinking!
