FamilyMart's Christmas deals + ways to save

As the holiday season approaches, most convenience stores here have ways to help people celebrate in easy ways. FamilyMart's 2025 Christmas campaign focuses on enjoying the season while being mindful of everyday expenses, which I think is something most of us can relate to at the moment. With prices still high and the yen weak, it seems like people are endeavoring to make Christmas special without stretching their budgets.

A look at some of Family Mart's festive season lineup from their press release

A recent FamilyMart survey of 30,000 people across Japan found that nearly 60% plan to spend Christmas at home this year. Most are aiming to keep their dinner costs under 5,000 yen, which I think is a balanced approach that considers both savings and festive spirit.

People planning to purchase holiday season food via FamilyMart can save by making early reservations, using points, or taking advantage of app coupons. Those who pre-order cakes, chicken sets, or party platters through FamilyMart Online before December 1st can receive discounts of up to 500 yen or earn bonus Famima points. Some sets even come with a free 2-liter drink.

This year's Christmas menu includes 66 items, from patisserie-supervised cakes to sushi sets and even treats for pets which I thought was pretty cool! We've ordered from convenience stores on Christmases past, and found it to be an easy way to enjoy a festive meal that feels special without needing to dine out.

There's more info about what foods are on offer and some of the specials available on the official Family Mart Christmas 2025 site.
