The good
There are five new sweet potato inspired donuts available for a limited time at Misdo stores, and this one is the simplest (and cheapest!) of the bunch. It's called the "plain sweet potato donut", but I actually think that "plain" element allows the sweet potato flavor to shine. There's 1.3% sweet potato powder in the actual donut dough, and it has a really nice, fluffy texture to it. I think this is a great option for anyone wanting a satisfying sweet treat that isn't cloying, and for folks who don't need all the bells and whistles of different fillings, toppings, and so forth.
The not so good
The same thing that works as this donut's benefit (the simplicity!) could also be seen as a negative by some folks. If you prefer your donuts to be a bit more involved with fillings, toppings, and the like, then this one might feel a bit lackluster for you. Never fear if that's the case, as the sweet potato range has some options that are substantially more involved! Overall, this was a really nice donut, both for its simplicity, great flavor, and reasonable price tag. Head into your nearest Mister Donut store sooner rather than later if you want to give it a try. Happy eating! :)
