In my home country, scones are sold at just about every bakery in every corner of the country. Here, they're a little harder to come across, but I'm always over the moon when I find them. This chocolate chip option from Chateraise caught my eye, and I was very pleased with the price tag of only 108 yen -- I feel like that's super reasonable and budget friendly. It has quite a generous amount of chocolate chips in it, and I'd recommend heating it up a little before you eat it so they get all melty and delicious. Overall, hard to go wrong for the price, and it was thoroughly tasty as well.

I would say that this is a little more moist than scones I'm used to back home. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't say it was a bad thing, but it could have something to do with the fact that it's plastic-wrapped. Just go into it expecting that, so you don't feel disappointed by it not being *exactly* like scones you're accustomed to. Overall though, this felt like a steal at only 108 yen, so if you're looking for a cost-effective way to get your scone fix I'd highly recommend seeing if you have a Chateraise store near you.
