To be fair the can is what sold me. It is such a cute design with so many cherry blossoms and I love the big pink whale. I assumed it would be a delicious and maybe lightly fruity sort of beer, the kind one could absolutely enjoy during cherry blossom viewing season, and it looks like the kind of thing you should absolutely bring to such an event. It's not so cheap for a beer at the grocery store or drugstore but not too expensive either. It was drinkable. If someone handed me this beer for free at a a friends cherry blossom viewing party, I would smile and say thank you and drink the beer without any real hesitation.

I was hoping for so much more than what this beer delivered. It didn't have as much of a full body as I generally prefer with beers and the fruitiness wasn't strong enough to really come through. It was very light as far as beers go but not as refreshing or crisp as other beers I've had from other breweries. Even a basic Kirin is a little better suited to my tastes than this specific beer seems to be. For the cost, I considered this a great disappointment. I guess it's true of beers as well as books. Don't judge the contents by the cover.
