The good

wasn't sure what to expect from this spicy beer, but it sounded like a fun time and for not too much money, so I tried it. I picked it up at a grocery store near me, but I've since also seen it available at many convenience stores. I really liked this beer. Whatever they labeled as spicy came out as a little bit of extra hoppiness, but I prefer hoppy beers over their frequently weaker pilsner counterparts. So for me, it was a really good fit. It was delicious and refreshing, and absolutely the kind of beer that I will try again after payday.

The not so good

There's not a whole lot of it, and it's a little bit higher priced than the average beer by comparison. I don't know if it's a seasonal beer or one that we'll be able to see for quite some time, but most highly spiced things that are available in winter tend to go out of fashion and be eliminated from the market come spring. In addition, Miyagi, where I live, tends to be a test market for a lot of products before they hit shops in Tokyo or go nationwide, which means if I find a product that I like, I can never be sure that that flavor will catch on anywhere else. So far as I've noted, it has continued to be available at the store and I look forward to trying it again, but not till payday.
