The description
First Kitchen’s Chicken Consomme Flavor Potato (Box size) offers a savory, comforting taste with a light chicken aroma. A generous portion that’s perfect for sharing or snacking.
The good
The box size is the largest size of potato fries at First Kitchen. As the name suggests - they come in a box, rather than a paper pack like all other sizes. The other sizes are small, medium and large. But there is a huge difference between the large and box size, possibly twice the size - that is just a guess though. I personally prefer First Kitchen's 'plain' (salted) flavor potato, but I was buying these to share and consomme is popular with my children. The seasoning is gentle, but unmistakable. It reminds me a bit of consomme flavored potato chips (crisps).
The not so good
Paying 700 yen for a box size works out at good value for money, but it's hardly cheap either. However, the contents go a long way if there are only two people sharing! While the Chicken Consomme Flavor Potato is tasty, the seasoning may feel a bit mild for those who prefer bold or punchy flavors. Likewise, for anyone not that into consomme flavor, it actually might feel too strong! And because its a large box of fries, the taste may begin to feel a bit too repetitive for some, especially if you plan to eat them all by yourself!
