A 'moving' honeymoon day
Today, and April 25th annually is, TMS Moving Honeymoon Day TMS・感動新婚旅行の日 an anniversary created by "Travel Management System" (TMS), a company that specializes in fully customized honeymoon trips. The date was chosen because the company sees it as the start of Japan's honeymoon season and the "25" suggests "two people (2) go (5)".
TMS created the day to highlight the deeper meaning of a honeymoon. Rather than seeing it just as a vacation, the company emphasizes it as a milestone filled with emotion, marking - for many - the first shared adventure of married life. It is also a reminder to reminisce about your honeymoon with warmth and appreciate it as the opening chapter of life as partners.
The date also aligns with TMS's seasonal events. Around late April, just before Golden Week, the company hosts honeymoon consultation fairs, helping couples design everything from classic resort trips to once-in-a-lifetime tailor-made itineraries.
