The Mini Danish Heart (Sugar) is the simplest, most classic version of Andersen’s mini heart‑shaped pastries. It’s made from their flaky Danish dough and finished with a light sprinkle of sugar before baking. The result is a tiny, crisp, buttery heart with a clean sweetness — the purest expression of the Danish Heart series! Although, the simplest of their flavors, I like this one the most. I have had it in the box set with eight to nine mini hearts (depends on weight) and I've had the medium sized one too. The medium sized one is the most gratifying.

The medium sized heart is the most gratifying, but unfortunately you cannot buy the medium size one on its own. Not at my local branch of Andersen anyway. When I got the medium sized one it was part of a variety set. But the set with eight to nine mini sugar hearts is really good too. The only thing is that you don't know how many you are going to get in the set, because it's done by weight. So if you are planning to share them, you may end up with too little or too much! Well, you can never get too much - but somebody will end up with more than everyone else! The medium sized one is pictured, because I forgot to take a photo of the mini ones!
