The 'smooth' tiramisu is served in a glass, which is not something you typically see outside of Japan, or at least not in my home country. Thanks to it being a small portion it readily fits in the glass - in the top, wide part, and underneath I was surprised to find coffee jelly. I am not normally a fan of coffee jelly (jell-o), but it worked surprisingly well with the tiramisu. I loved the mix of textures - the jelly giving a soft chewiness to the otherwise melt-in-your-mouth tiramisu. The cocoa powder on top was generous and really set the whole thing off. There was extra cream layered above the jelly / below the tiramisu, which was delicious. There wasn't too much soakage either, I don't like when a tiramisu is too wet.

Despite not liking coffee jelly much, I really liked it in this Steak Gusto tiramisu dessert. However, it may not be to everyone's liking. Some people may find the portion too small. I know the first few times I ordered from the Steak Gusto dessert menu I was surprised by how small the portion was. But once you realize they design it that way so that you can order two or even three desserts, you are better equipped for ordering. If you order just one it costs 200 yen (220 yen with tax), but you get a discount with each additional order for up to three desserts. Two desserts is only 380 yen (418 yen with tax) and three desserts is only 520 yen (572 yen). But do be careful, you have to order them as a set to get the discount.
