Chococro (short for "chocolate croissant") is the signature, proprietary pastry of Saint Marc Café. For this special limited edition version, they have collaborated with Minions in the lead up to the highly anticipated "Minions & Monsters" movie. As you can see on the packaging in the photo - the movie will be released on Friday August 7th 2026 in Japan. This limited-edition Chococro in honor of everyone's favorite yellow mischief-makers, brings a playful twist to a classic pastry. I really liked the cute packaging too, and because I bought five, I got the fun box too.

I really loved the apple and custard filling. I particularly liked that it was made from apple pieces. That added a really good texture. The custard was quite thick too, which I liked, so it didn't make a mess or dribble. But my only complaint is that both - the custard and the apple - were minimal, I would have liked a bit more of each! However, if there was more it probably would make the croissant soggy and overwhelm the pastry. The pastry is delicious, the only thing bad I can say about it - like all croissant type pastry - is that it can make a bit of a mess! All in all I was happy with this product as were my children and I will try and buy it again before the season ends.
