Japan Travel Goals: Suzuka Circuit
Among my top twenty places I want to visit in Japan is Suzuka CIrcuit, located in Mie Prefecture. It is one of the most iconic racetracks in the world; a place where motorsport history, engineering brilliance and pure adrenaline meet.
Designed by Honda in 1962, it's instantly recognizable for its rare figure eight layout, a feature almost no other major circuit has and the only Formula 1 track with a true figure-of-eight layout. The track includes famous technical and high-speed corners. S-curves, Degner and the legendary 130R, making it a favorite among drivers and fans alike.
Suzuka Circuit is also famous for hosting the Japanese Grand Prix, a race known for dramatic title deciders, unpredictable weather, and some of Formula 1's most emotional moments. Even outside F1 season, the circuit buzzes with superbike races, endurance events, and Honda's own motorsport festivals.
I thought Motegi was amazing, so no doubt I will revel in a trip Suzuka Circuit. Visiting the circuit is more than just a going to watch a race, it's almost like a pilgrimage. I can only imagine the atmosphere and the electrifying sounds, the kind of experience that stays with you for years. Have you ever been?
