The description
A soft roll cake with gentle coffee notes and a sweet mascarpone‑style cream, offering a light, playful take on tiramisu in Roll‑chan’s long‑eared form.
The good
I had no idea when I bought it that this Tiramisu Flavor Roll-Chan is only available for eight days, what a treat! Not only did I really like it, but my kids also really liked it too. What I found really interesting is that the Tiramisu flavor hits you after you swallow it. And that was a very nice sensation. When I first bit it I thought it didn't really taste like Tiramisu, but after swallowing it, I felt that it does in fact taste like Tiramisu. But not in an overwhelming way. The coffee notes are gentle, so even my children who don't drink coffee, enjoyed this flavor.
The not so good
As above, the Tiramisu flavor is only available for eight days, which is both a blessing and a curse! If it was available all year round, I would certainly buy it relatively frequently. But I also liked the "exclusivity" of it only being around for eight days. As above, the coffee notes are faint, and the mascarpone‑style cream leans more sugary than creamy, which can make the overall taste feel one‑dimensional. So for those who prefer a stronger Tiramisu taste, this product may leave them feeling unsatiated and wishing for a deeper, more layered dessert experience. But you can't go wrong with the price for a quick, cheap and easy treat. The Tiramisu flavor is the second one in the photo. The packaging made me think of Christmas; perhaps they could make it more Easter like packaging if they bring it out again.
