Three-month Long Motorcycle 'Month'

Last year, I introduced Motorbike Day, which is on August 19th annually. But there is also a three-month long Motorcycle 'Month' in Japan annually - from July to September. Motorbike / Motorcycle Day falls in the middle. 

Motorbike Day was established by the Government to create motorcycle safety awareness. But Motorcycle Month is a more casual affair and was created by motorcycle enthusiasts. They created it in the hope of promoting the fun and convenient side of motorcycles, while still encouraging safety.

There is an active, dedicated website created by the organizers. It has information about Motorcycle Month as well as motorcycle culture. You can find information about motorcycle events here too. At this time of year, you can find motorbike exhibitions, touring events, gatherings, talk shows, outreach and safety campaigns around Japan.
