I am not normally a fan of Cookies & Cream, but, like the rest of my family, I really enjoyed this tart by Monteur. At 376 yen (before tax) it seemed like good value too. really liked that it was pre-cut into six slices, making it very convenient. The size of each slice was really good too - for an after dinner dessert. But the slices are quite small so it might not be sufficient for a group of six sharing midafternoon on an empty stomach! I liked that the cookie and cream taste wasn't overbearing.

On the flip side, Cookie and Cream fans might find the taste a bit too mild. And as I said above, to share it might be a bit too small. But for a smaller family it would work well, because it has a relatively long shelf life - of about 4 days - so it doesn't have to be eaten all in the one day. The biggest drawback is that it is a limited-edition product. However, who knows, if it is popular enough, maybe it will become a standard product or at least they might bring it back again. It may have been out before? I don't think I noticed it in the past or perhaps I walked by it because I am normally not a Cookie and Cream fan. Overall, I think it is a decent supermarket dessert and I will definitely be buying it again, but those looking for a less sweet or more sophisticated flavor profile may not be completely won over.
