The description

A fifty five gram packet of the cheese flavor of JagaRico, a stick potato snack by Calbee. Its not too cheesy, only subtly different from other flavors.

The good

I like the red packaging of this version of Calbee's popular JagaRico (Jagariko) potato snack that is shaped like a stick. Like all flavors of the JagaRico range, the cheese flavor has a good crunch on it. You can add hot water and mush it for a different texture, much like mashed potato. It became a thing after a video of such went viral! I personally prefer it with its crunch. If you want to try it, they recommend you add boiled hot water to the one third mark, leaving it sitting for a bit, then mash it.

The not so good

For some reason, the weight of the different flavors of JagaRico are different. Only the original version is 57 grams. The cheese flavor is 55 grams. Like I wrote in both the Salad version and Butter version reviews, the cheese flavors taste is a bit too similar to those two flavors (salad and butter) to tell them apart in a blind taste test. It would great if they could make them a bit more distinguishable. Similarly, apart from the background color, there isn't much different in the packaging for this and those two other similar flavors. I am not sure that this flavor is as widely available as either the Salad (original) or butter flavors. I personally don't see it in stores in my area as much.
