Mango - a taste of summer in Japan

Mango is not native to Japan, but it has quietly become a taste of summer in Japan. A defining flavor of summer. Although, it's not a traditional fruit here, at this time of year you can see many limited-edition or summer season only food and drink that feature mango as a primary flavor. 

The photo in this post is of the current summer only mango drink and dessert range at First Kitchen, a fast-food restaurant with branches all across Japan. It was not the only restaurant I saw with mango as a principal taste for this year's summer only limited-edition food or drink. It is a common theme among cafes and restaurants this year.
