Eye Care in Japan

Depending on your home country, getting your eyes checked and getting new glasses may be significantly cheaper.  I'm from Canada, and the cheapest new pair of glasses I've ever gotten, including the eye exam, was over 5 times more expensive than the new glasses I just got here in Japan.

You can walk into a glasses shop, pick your frames, and they'll figure out your prescription right there since you don't need an optometrist for that in Japan.

If you want contacts, then you have to go to an optometrist.

Anyway, I wrote a new post last night about getting glasses in Japan; it's SO EASY and CHEAP, especially if you hit a sale like I did! :D
