Jagarico Report: Salad Bits Flavor

Despite the disappointment of my previous Salty Lemon Jagarico Report, there is nothing that can keep me away from these deliciously crunchy potato sticks. I decided to stick with a more familiar flavor this time. I have already professed my love for the standard salad flavor, so imagine my delight when I saw these new "Jagarico bits" on the shelves!

The flavorings used seem to be the same as the original salad flavor. The only difference I could tell is that the sticks were smaller, and the package advertised that it was an "oomori" portion.

I really like the little giraffe tykes on the packaging. Usually they feature grown-up giraffes, so the little ones really go with this "bits" them. (I also never noticed that there's a do not microwave warning on this... Imagine putting water in this and heating it up like cup noodles...)

Look at how tiny these guys are! They're less than half the size of a standard Jagarico stick. It's like an entire cup of my favorite parts of Jagarico: the broken pieces at the bottom! It also does look like there's quite a bit more in the package. I don't know the weight a regular container contains, so I can't make an official statement about that.

They definitely look and taste the same as a regular salad Jagarico. For those of you who have never tried this flavor and are wondering what "salad flavor" is, I'll let you know. Imagine eating a veggie stock bouillon cube. It's salty, rich in flavor, and super savory. It's like a veggie consome flavor, though I'm not sure about it actually being vegetarian...

I have to say that I definitely preferred these smaller pieces to the regular larger ones. I'm not sure if it was the novelty and it breathed new life into these, or if there was more exposed potato area to get more flavoring on it... Either way, I definitely want to buy these again. They're about 40 yen more expensive than the standard, but it's yen well spent.
