More price hikes in November (bad news for sweet tooths!)

November is here (can you believe it?!) and with it comes some not-so-great news. I read via the Japan Times this morning that prices of over 140 products are set to rise this month, and it's bad news if you're a sweet tooth -- the majority of the product increases outlined were from the confectionery category (e.g. cookies and chocolates).

Another piece of data in the article that made me reflect on the cost of living was that 20,580 products have seen their prices rise this year, and that was only counted until the end of October.

I feel like these updates about price hikes have been such a consistent thing I've seen in the news all year, and I don't see the likelihood of that changing any time soon.
