No snow for Christmas according to the forecast

Are you expecting a white Christmas in your part of Japan this year? Even though my corner of Niigata is known as yukiguni, or snow country, it tends to be a bit hit or miss as to whether or not it snows on the 25th itself.

Unfortunately this year it looks like it'll just be some rain, but snow is forecast on the 26th, which is better than nothing. I imagine we'll see the amount of snow ramp up more in the new year. 

I do think having snow on Christmas makes the day feel that extra bit more magical, so I'm a little bummed that we are probably going to miss out by just a day!
