The good
You can always count on convenience stores here to have a fun and exciting range of new products rotating through them, and this new okashi na chikin from 7-11 is super unique in my opinion! Although it looks like a donut, it is actually made of minced chicken with a tonkatsu flavored batter coating. If you're looking for a satisfying savory snack, this is a great option to try for under 200 yen! Also, the packaging is super cute, too, so if that's ever a factor in your purchasing decisions then it might be a bit of an added push to try it out! :)
The not so good
As this is only a limited time offering, one key downside is that there's only a short window to enjoy it. I thought it was really fun for something different as a savory snack, so I'm a little disappointed that it won't be around for all that long. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for something different to the other standard savory options at 7-11, or anyone who likes fried chicken products.
