The description

This product is a hojicha and kinako flavored gelato, and it's part of a new "Japan Mind" range from Haagen-Dazs. It was priced at 351 yen including tax.

The good

This new "Japan Mind" creamy gelato option from Haagen-Dazs is a really tasty one for anyone who enjoys traditionally Japanese flavors. It's a combination of hojicha and kinako, so it definitely leans to the earthy side of things -- but I really love both of those so it was a winner for me. The flavors are separated as you can see in the picture, but you can always swirl them together with your spoon if you'd prefer a more blended mix. Since it's a gelato, it does have a lighter feel than typical ice cream does, so I also think that this is a nice release for the summer season.

The not so good

I say this on every Haagen-Dazs ice cream that me and my family purchase, but they're expensive. Yes, the quality is good, and yes, I love that they're creative with fun flavor releases, but they're always a one and done for me because of the price. Also, this isn't going to appeal to folks who don't care for the earthy flavors of tea and kinako, but I don't think you're going to go out of your way to purchase this if that's the case. Overall, I liked this a lot as a tea fan, but I think the price is a bit high and it might have limited appeal.
