First of all I think this is a really pretty dessert from a visual point of view! The actual cake dough part is a nice rose pink color, and it comes basically three-quarters dipped in white chocolate with freeze-dried strawberries on the top as a garnish. As far as the flavor goes, it's great there as well. The cake dough has a nice strawberry/almond flavor to it, and the white chocolate coating ups the ante with the sweetness, so you've got a good combo of nuttiness/sweet/sour going on. I think everything worked together really well for a tasty dessert. Price wise, I'd say it's not too bad either, sitting at exactly 200 yen including tax.

As is the case with most seasonal items, you've only got a limited time to get your hands on this. I'm not 100% sure how long this strawberry-themed fair at Family Mart will be running for, but my guess would be a couple of weeks or so. Overall, this is a really nice seasonal dessert, the portion size isn't too big (which could probably be a positive or a negative depending on your perspective), the taste is great, and it has a nice visual appeal as well. Keep an eye out for it at your nearest Family Mart store if it sounds like something you'd like to try. Happy eating! :)
