The description
This product is a tub of Lady Borden Caramel Chocolate Cake ice cream from the Lotte brand. I purchased it from my local independent supermarket and it was 281 yen.
The good
When it comes to classic ice cream flavors, chocolate and caramel are up there at the top. This tub combines the two (you can visibly see them swirled as soon as you open the container), and the product also contains a tasty caramel sauce that seems to tie everything together. It feels rich and indulgent, and the price is cheaper than Haagen Dazs -- but the quality feels just as good. Overall, I think this is worth it when you are happy to splurge on a quality ice cream product but you also want to be a bit financially savvy when doing so!
The not so good
As I mentioned in the positive features section, chocolate and caramel are two of the most common ice cream flavors out there. That's great if you enjoy the classics, but if you're looking for something with a bit more of a "wow" factor then this might feel like a bit of a let down. Overall though, tasty ice cream, it definitely feels like high quality stuff -- and the flavor profile is something that will appeal to most people, I think. I got mine at my local supermarket but it may also be available from convenience store chains. Happy eating, and enjoy!

I'm guessing this is one of the tiny sizes? We regularly get the bigger size of strawberry (sometimes matcha) and it runs around 400 yen these days. Only in the small size they sell coffee flavor, which was really nice and not common!
