It's official: Sanae Takaichi is the LDP President (and likely PM)

Moments ago, the votes were counted for the LDP presidential election, and no surprises there that it came down to Sanae Takaichi and Shinjiro Koizumi. The party has gone with the more conservative choice of Takaichi, which means we're likely to see Japan's first-ever female PM once she's likely elected in the extraordinary session of the Diet.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I do think the LDP is going with the more conservative choice, probably to win back some voters -- but I have mentioned before I'm not the biggest fan of some of Takaichi's policies, including her stance on women being allowed to keep their last names after marriage (spoiler, she's not for it).

How are the rest of you feeling about Takaichi winning?
