The description

This product is a unique butter spread for bread, called "Sugar Toast – Kinako Fried Bread Flavor". I got it at Kaldi Coffee Farm for 235 yen including tax.

The good

One thing I've noticed during my time in Japan is that there are some truly unique butter varieties that come out from time to time. One of my favorites, for example, was a coffee butter that was *so* good on toast. When I saw this kinako fried bread flavor butter at Kaldi Coffee Farm recently, I knew I had to try it. The actual product itself is fairly simple in terms of ingredients -- it's basically whipped butter, sugar, and kinako powder. When you add that to toasted bread, though, it does something magical and turns into a delicious sweet treat with those earthy kinako undertones. I recommend it if you're looking for something different to spread on your bread!

The not so good

Personally, I don't have many (if any) complaints about this product. I loved the sweet-yet-earthy taste the product has, and I thought the price wasn't bad. I'd definitely purchase this in the future if it was still available at Kaldi, and that's always a good sign to me! I do think it's probably not going to be everyone's cup of tea though, because of the earthiness to the kinako. If you *are* a kinako fan though, I'd super duper recommend this because it's so good! Check for it ASAP if you've got a Kaldi Coffee Farm store nearby!
