Some good upcoming concerts in Japan

One of the best concerts I've been to here was all the way back in 2014, when I saw The Lumineers play. It was on a weekend where it snowed like crazy in Tokyo, and as a result a lot of people couldn't get to the venue in Shibuya. It was walkable from where we lived at the time, and the band still played, so it ended up being quite the intimate performance.

They're headed back to Tokyo in January 2026 as part of their "Automatic" album tour, but if you are looking for upcoming concert events I like keeping my eye on the @japanconcerthunter Instagram account. Some other good ones a little sooner include Foo Fighters and Oasis this October, Mariah Carey in October and November, Katy Perry in December, Lady Gaga and Blackpink in January 2026, and Bad Bunny in March 2026 (dates still TBC).

How do you keep a track of music artists touring here? Have you been to any great concerts?
