The description

This product is a bear paw, which is an apple and cinnamon filled treat available from Randy's Donuts stores. It was priced at 550 yen including tax.

The good

If you love apple pie flavors, then this Bear Claw from Randy's Donuts could be right up your alley. It gets its name because it's literally shaped like a bear's paw (clever marketing!), and it comes filled with apple and cinnamon. It feels perfectly autumny, so I think it's a good choice for a dessert at this time of year! It's also a pretty sizeable treat, so I definitely think it's the kind of thing you can share with someone. But hey, no judgement at all if you want to enjoy the whole thing yourself!

The not so good

The Bear Claw might not be the best choice if you're after a classic light and fluffy donut. Its thinner dough and apple filling give it a more pastry-like character, which might not really satisfy those who are looking for the more pillowy feel of a standard donut. At 550 yen, it's not the cheapest sweet treat, either. If you're visiting Randy's Donuts for the first time, you might prefer to try one of their signature classic donuts before branching out. Flavor-wise though, I loved it, and the bear paw is a fun gimmick!
