Komeda Coffee does a good job of releasing fun shiro noir flavors throughout the year, and this latest caramel apple one is a perfect choice for autumn IMO! The caramel brings a nice sweetness, and the apple sauce adds a fruity flavor that helps to offset the indulgence a bit. It's finished with some roasted almonds which I think work nicely as a bit of an extra textural element. The mini size is a good option for anyone wanting to enjoy dessert without committing to a full-sized Shiro Noir. I definitely appreciate that they have both mini and regular on offer, though!

Despite its mini size, this dessert is still a fairly substantial indulgence at 491 calories. I also think that the combo of caramel, apple sauce, pastry, and soft serve could be overwhelmingly sweet for anyone who prefers lighter desserts or more pronounced fruity flavors. If you do have nut allergies, the presence of the roasted almonds will obviously present a problem, too. Overall though, I think this is a fun and tasty autumn release, with a classic flavor combo that a lot of people enjoy.
