The description
This product is the newly released Cream Puff Frappuccino from Starbucks, and you can find it at their stores for a limited time. It's in tall size only, and priced at 700 yen.
The good
If you're already a fan of choux cream pastries, then this new Cream Puff Frappuccino available from Starbucks will likely be something that appeals to you! The base of the frappuccino has a vanilla/caramel-ish flavor to it, and it comes topped with a custard-flavored whipped cream and crunchy pastry-style flakes to elicit those choux pastry feelings. I think it did quite a good job of replicating a cream puff in beverage form! I think this is a frappuccino that will have a pretty broad-reaching appeal, since it's a flavor that a lot of people like.
The not so good
Obviously the key issue with Starbucks frappuccinos is the price. At 700 yen it's the same price that you can get a meal for at many places, so even when I really like the flavors, these seasonal treats are a one-and-done. This one is also only available in tall size - I do wish there was a short option, both for a smaller serving portion and for a cheaper price! Also, some folks might not like the pastry bits on the top of the whipped cream if they don't like random textures in their beverages of choice. Overall though, I personally liked this a lot, but I'm already a huge fan of custardy treats so this was right up my alley!
