Nagano apples that are pretty in pink!
I saw a unique kind of apple at my local farmer's market this week, which had come from neighboring Nagano Prefecture. It's called a moon rouge apple, and the name might give you a bit of an indication as to what it's all about. Outside, it looks like a fairly normal apple with a yellowy-reddish hue, but the inside has a reddish flesh! When I cut it open, I actually thought it looked like a peach more so than a usual apple.

It was really tasty, and it's also fun for a bit of novelty value. If you see them near you, I recommend giving them a try.
Have you seen these moon rouge apples anywhere before?
