The description

This product is an ultra-fine line eyeliner pencil in a dark brown shade, from the Dejavu brand. I purchased it online from Amazon Japan, and it was priced at 1320 yen.

The good

If you're looking for an eyeliner product that stays on nicely and doesn't smudge, this ultra-fine line eyeliner pencil from Dejavu is worth trying. It's reasonably priced at 1320 yen, which is either on par or lower than a lot of other eyeliner brands I've found. I got this in the dark brown shade, and I like that it's natural looking and not as stark as black eyeliner is. It applies really nicely and doesn't drag across my eyelids -- the texture of the pencil is very smooth and has a gel-like consistency to it. I was really pleased about that! It comes in a few different colors, too, including classic black and other shades of brown.

The not so good

I felt like the packaging was pretty excessive for this, as it's in quite a bit of single use plastic for what is ultimately a small product. I know they probably make sure to pack it well since they don't want the pencil to break, but it just feels wasteful. That aside though, the product performs well and I like that it stays on nicely and doesn't smudge easily. I like the color of it, too. I just wish there was a way to make the packaging a bit more eco friendly. If you are after a solid eyeliner, keep an eye out for this one -- I'm a fan of its performance.
