Next level dog grooming service in Japan

One thing I’ve really come to love in Japan are the dog grooming services here. I feel like everywhere we’ve taken our dog goes the extra mile with customer service - it’s more like a doggy day spa a lot of the time than it is a simple grooming appointment.

The services here are also great because of the photos they take of our dog at each visit. Our local groomer here in Niigata specifically has different backdrops and bandanas to suit the seasons - for instance in December she had a Christmas theme going on, and now in spring it’s all about flower backdrops and bandanas.

Super cute, right? I’m still amazed at how she gets our dog to stay still for the pictures - I’m guessing there’s a treat involved!
