The description
This product is a single-layer tiramisu cup, and it's available from Lawson's Uchi Cafe sweets range at the moment. It was priced at 367 yen including tax.
The good
Both Lawson and Family Mart have a tiramisu product on their shelves at the moment, and being a big tiramisu household I ended up getting both to compare and contrast the two. This is Lawson's version from their Uchi Cafe sweets range, and it has only a single layer of sponge -- but it's quite a thick layer so it's still satisfying. I liked that you could clearly see the layers through the clear cup, and the mascarpone cream layers felt a bit thicker than usual, but I actually liked this about it since it felt a bit more satiating.
The not so good
The Lawson tiramisu offering is a bit more expensive than the Family Mart one (367 yen for this one compared to 328 yen for the Famima one), but this one definitely feels more like a traditional tiramisu since Family Mart's goes off the script a little and also includes a layer of coffee jelly. If you're a traditionalist I'd say to go for this one even though it is about 40 yen more pricey, because you'll get a more authentic experience. Overall, I thought this was worth trying even though it's a bit more expensive than a lot of other convenience store desserts at the moment.
