The description

This product is a bag of individually wrapped Gianduja chocolates in a bitter caramel and nuts flavor. They're available from Kaldi Coffee Farm for 853 yen including tax.

The good

These chocolates from Kaldi Coffee Farm have a few good things going for them. You get 12 individually wrapped pieces in the packet, so they're good for sharing or even just to have one or two pieces without demolishing the lot ;) The chocolates themselves are a milk choc base with almond paste and bitter caramel powder added to the mix, so if you like nutty and caramelly flavors then I would recommend these to you. The quality is really good and the chocolate taste is super smooth -- I definitely enjoyed the taste of these.

The not so good

I think the price of these felt pretty steep -- yes, the quality of the chocolate was good, and the fact that they are individually wrapped is a nicety. However, at close to 900 yen for 12 wrapped chocolate pieces, this was on par with things like Ghirardelli or Godiva back home -- maybe even more expensive. I think they would be nice if you're getting them for someone as a treat (e.g. a Valentine's Day chocolate) but I wouldn't recommend them as an everyday chocolate unless you have some cash to spare. If you're just looking for a chocolate fix there are definitely more economical options out there than these.
