The description

This product is a no-bake cheese cream puff, and it was purchased from the Famima Sweets range at my local Family Mart store. It was priced at 158 yen including tax.

The good

First off, I felt like the price of this was super reasonable, especially when compared to some of the Uchi Cafe x Milk (Lawson's) collab items in a similar vein lately. For instance, one of the cheaper collab products in that range (the cream filled dorayaki) was 203 yen including tax, so this at almost 50 yen cheaper feels like a good deal to me -- albeit without the collab name to it. Taste wise, I really liked this. The cream itself felt very light and fluffy (you can get a feel for it in the cross section picture), and it honestly reminded me of cheesecake filling. The choux pastry worked well as an accompaniment to the filling, and I think if you like cheesecake style desserts this is a win.

The not so good

Obviously this is quite a simple dessert -- it's just a choux pastry filled with a whipped cream cheese filling -- so I think if you prefer something a bit more involved and intricate when it comes to your dessert choices, this option probably feels boring. Other than that though, I thought this product was well priced for what you get, especially in light of other products out on other convenience store shelves at present. If you enjoy cream cheese desserts, I think this one is worth giving a try for the reasonable price tag alone.
