The description
This product is a Lego x Animal Crossing collaboration set, titled "Nook's Cranny and Rosie's House" (set number 77050). I ordered it online from Amazon Japan for 8442 yen.
The good
If you haven't already noticed, I am a big Lego lover as is the rest of my family. My kids are also super into Animal Crossing of late, so these Animal Crossing x Lego collabs have been on our "must collect" list. This one is titled "Nook's Cranny and Rosie's House" (set number 77050), and it comes with 535 pieces -- so almost as many as the KK's Concert in the Plaza set that I also reviewed today, but at a significantly cheaper price point. If you're looking for a sizeable set with good value for money, this is a nice option. This one only comes with two minifigures (Rosie and Tom Nook) as opposed to the other set that comes with three, but both are adorable and well detailed. This whole set has a dose of fun and whimsy to it, with the two dwellings having some cute touches to them.
The not so good
I still think Lego is kinda expensive compared to a lot of other building toys -- this was almost 8500 yen, but I did spend my City-Cost blogging money on this which I use as "fun money" for our family. It's nice to be able to offset the cost of our hobbies with that gift card cash. Overall though, I can't fault this set. It's cute, easy to put together but still big enough to take some time and present a few challenges, and has that fun, video-game whimsy to it. I'd happily recommend this to anyone who is a Lego or Animal Crossing fan. Happy building!
