Two festivals, one weekend

Sometimes the timing of things just works out, and this weekend was one of those situations. I headed into Niigata City and was able to enjoy not one, but two major festivals in the same place.

First up was the Niigata Oktoberfest, which was celebrating its 10th edition this year. The event brought together 20 breweries from around Niigata Prefecture, so there were plenty of opportunities to try local beers.

That wasn't the only thing happening! The Niigata Soh Odori was also on, with fun performances and plenty of energy. The combo of a beer festival and a dance festival made for a very lively atmosphere. Not a bad way to spend a day in Niigata City if I do say so myself!
