The snowman with mikan eyes
It’s been snowing pretty heavily here overnight through to this morning, so there was more than enough to make a snowman. My husband went out with our daughter this morning to make one, and grabbed a couple of mikan and a carrot to decorate it with.
Can I just say, mikan make about the creepiest eyes on a snowman that are possible. Glowing orange eyes?!
Points for effort from the husband, but I think it’ll do a great job of frightening all the neighborhood children!

Owly eyes! It's creepy-cute! Here in suburban Tokyo, we're about to dip to freezing. Last night, when I stepped out of the house, I thought, "Weird, what's different?" and it was the biting cold. Winter's here!

Ha! The eyes do look a bit mad! Still, nice to have spent a snowy weekend making a snowman. Unfortunately my weekend was spent chasing around Tokyo for Christmas shopping, and doing "oosouji" -- not much fun cleaning the windows in, as @TonetoEdo mentioned, the biting cold that seems to have arrived around here recently.
