A mom’s reason why rainy season rules

Anyone else here a parent who gets frustrated by the sun coming up here at 4am-ish at this time of year? I know that my kids think it’s appropriate to start the day every day at around 5 am when the sun has already been up close to an hour. When they’re go-go-go all day that means I’m a zombie by bedtime.

Rainy season though? Those gloomy skies create a layer of darkness that keeps them in their beds longer. The soft pitter-pattering of raindrops hitting the roof acts like a white noise machine. It makes for perfect sleeping conditions and counteracts the birds chirping and waking us all up!
