Things to do during summer in snow country: go mountain biking!

My local area is very much known for its winter sports, but probably not as well known for what it offers in the summer season. If you are an outdoorsy type there's a ton of things to do at this time of the year (obviously depending on your heat tolerance!) but one of them is mountain biking at ski resorts.

It seems like quite a few places do this across Japan, and one of them in our area is at Mount Hakkai.  You can learn more about the facility on their website (https://hakkai-sanroku.com/), but I'm always impressed by the pivot they take to still bring in tourism at this time of year. It has become one of my husband's favorite summertime weekend activities!
