The description

This product is a Cookie & Chocolate Mint Frappé, and it's a limited time offering available from McDonalds stores at the moment. It was priced at 490 yen including tax.

The good

Summers in Japan and chocolate mint flavored goodies go hand in hand, and this McDonalds Cookie & Chocolate Mint Frappé is a delicious treat to try. The first thing I really liked about it, before even tasting it, was the fact that it was under 500 yen. Compare that to a Starbucks frappuccino which runs around the 700 yen(ish) mark, and you'll see it's quite the saving! Flavor wise, it was fab as well. I love the combo of chocolate and mint, since it feels fresh yet indulgent, and the whipped cream and the cookie pieces on top added a bit extra in terms of both taste and texture. I would happily recommend this to any chocolate mint fans out there like myself! :)

The not so good

The biggest downside about this product to me is that it's a limited time only thing! As a big chocolate mint fan, I definitely wish the presence of this flavor wasn't just a summertime occurrence. I think there might also be an issue with the price for some. Even though it's cheaper than a Starbucks drink, it's still fairly expensive to be forking out almost 500 yen on a drink. Still, it was thoroughly delicious, and the fact I can only get it for a limited time adds to the appeal. Keep an eye out for it at your nearest McDonalds store if it sounds like a must-try item to you.
