The good
If you already love choux cream pastries but you'd like to elevate them a little, this cookie choux cream from Beard Papa is well worth trying. The outer pastry has a crunchie cookie crumble topping, which adds not only some additional sweetness but a really fun textural element to the product. The filling is really delicious as well -- the whole thing just works together for a 5 star dessert (to me, anyway). If you're already a fan of choux cream pastries I definitely recommend trying the cookie variety if you have a Beard Papa store near you.
The not so good
When it comes to the product itself, I don't really have anything to complain about! I love how everything works together, and the delicious, smooth filling combined with the crunchy, textured outer makes for a satisfying dessert. The only downside (to me) is that I don't have a Beard Papa store super close by, so I can only get these when I'm in Niigata City. Maybe that's actually a positive thing, though, as I'm sure I'd indulge in them more regularly if I was closer to one of their stores. Probably should be counting my blessings in that regard ;) Definitely try this variety if you have a Beard Papa store near you. Happy eating!
