Underrated autumn: bush clover

Even though bush clover (known as hagi here in Japan) is one of the country's seven herbs of autumn, I feel like it doesn't get all that much recognition. It's relatively common out here in the countryside, and I often see it cascading down walls like in the picture below.

If you do have a garden of your own here, it's apparently a very easy plant to grow. I also read online that it's drought-resistant, so it's something I might consider when I return to my home country someday -- we're a very drought-prone nation so having some color among the dryness would be nice!
