The description

This product is a pumpkin souffle pudding, and it's a limited time offering available from Family Mart convenience stores. It was priced at 348 yen including tax.

The good

This is a fun dessert if you like different textures, since the bottom part of it is pumpkin flavored pudding, and the top is the souffle layer. It's presented very nicely as well, so points for that -- it's topped with a little bit of whipped cream and a pumpkin seed, and it kinda even *looks* like a pumpkin. I thought it was cute! The taste of everything was really good -- definitely more "kabocha" than "pumpkin spice" that some expats may expect, but delicious nonetheless. Worth trying if you like pumpkin flavored things!

The not so good

The biggest downside about this product to me was the price. It was definitely one of the more expensive desserts at Family Mart at the moment, at just shy of 350 yen. Although I liked it, I wouldn't purchase it more than once based on the price point alone. That aside, it was really delicious and I loved the presentation, and would still say it's worth trying at least once if it sounds good to you. It's only a limited time thing, so check at your nearest Family Mart store for it while you can. Happy eating!
