I've mentioned it before here on City-Cost, but lately I've found myself getting back into some cozy-like hobbies over recent months, including coloring books. I've ordered a couple of other ones from this illustrator (Coco Wyo) via Amazon Japan, and this one was another addition to my collection. The book itself has a wide variety of fun designs -- there are 108 pages in total and they have an animal-themed focus, with things like a capybara in an onsen-like bath and a mouse working in a carrot-shaped apothecary. It's all very whimsical-feeling, but honestly, when the world feels like it's all falling in a heap that's just what you need.

This is pricier than a lot of other coloring book offerings, coming in at just over 1300 yen. It is marketed as a coloring book for teens or adults, rather than one for kids -- so maybe that's part of the higher price -- and it does have a lot of pages, certainly more so than your average kids coloring book from a 100 yen store like Daiso, for instance. Overall, I think this is super cute, and if you're looking for a relaxing hobby then this might just fit the bill. If you search for Coco Wyo on Amazon Japan there are several different designs of hers -- I've tried out some others and would happily recommend them.
