The description

This product is the newly released Nama chestnut choco pie, and it's a seasonal offering which is a little different from some other choco pies as it's a chilled one!

The good

Your regular lineup of choco pies can be found in the shelf-stable area of convenience stores and supermarkets, but this Nama chestnut choco pie is a little different in that it's a chilled variety! The cake portion is chestnut flavored (made with actual chestnut paste!) and there's a whipped cream filling and a chestnut chocolate flavored coating. It's relatively simple in terms of the ingredients -- cake, cream, and chocolate -- but I think that's probably what will make it so popular. The chestnut flavor is great, and I feel like the price is pretty decent considering the fresh cream.

The not so good

As I've mentioned on other seasonal treat reviews from the choco pie/Lotte brand, one of the big downsides with this is that it's only a limited time thing. I feel that's always a bit of a bummer if you find yourself really liking it, since you only have a short window to enjoy it. Also, unlike the shelf stable choco pie versions, it's not like you can really store these chilled ones away! Overall, give this a try if you like chestnut flavored things at this time of year -- it's fairly simple, but I think that's what makes it a winner.
